Where
Giza, Egypt
1998
Entering the site at Giza I felt like I was in a video game. The objective: Avoid the annoying touts, shrug off the relentless harassment, capture memories. Oh yeah and protect the camera.
It was a tall order. Taking clean shots of the pyramids was practically impossible so I started shooting everything around me. The tourists, the “tour guides,” the camel riders. The trio in the last shot I took looked as confused as I was.
